We have always been particularly inspired and stimulated by the work we’ve done for NGOs. Indeed, our overriding objective has always been to make a wider, meaningful contribution to society through our work. It’s who we are. Typically, we’ve offered them foundational communications products that help them “get their name out there” – filling people in on the good work they are doing, and helping them connect with potential donors, funders, partners and volunteers. These products include cutting-edge websites, brochures and newsletters, as well as social media services.
A well-known South African human rights organisation in South Africa, and one which has featured prominently throughout the country’s history. The LRC has been at the centre of various anti-Apartheid, labour, land, environmental and HIV/Aids cases, and counts among its founding members Arthur Chaskalson and Albie Sachs. We helped LRC with an elaborate poster campaign and exhibition showcasing their work in the Cape Town area over the last 27 years.
Bay Moon was approached to assist with their poster campaigns (advertising and marketing services). We also developed their website, and maintain it when required.
A place of safety for abused, abandoned or neglected children from the Hout Bay community (since 1986), James House also provides innovative social upliftment programmes to surrounding areas. We built their website, for which we provide ongoing support and development. We also help produce their monthly newsletter (writing, design).
Bay Moon was approached to manage the communications for the international “Roots Festival” – the purpose of which was to celebrate the roots of the South African language, Afrikaans. We developed and managed their website, produced the marketing material and managed all of the PR.
The festival saw a number of delegates from all over the world attend, and our material needed to cross many different local and international barriers.
